Presentation by professors Suominen & Kallio-Tavin at Art, EcoJustice, and Education conference
Professors Anniina Suominen and Mira Kallio-Tavin delivered a conference presentation at the closing conference of the EcoArt project in Tampere on December 13, 2017. The title of the presentation was Animals in contemporary society, art, and education: Iconic, cute, partners, food, trade, disposable. The presentation was constructed as a theoretical and visual dialogue between Suominen and Kallio-Tavin. Through theory, contemporary art and personal video material the presenters aimed to initiate conversation concerning the controversial and unethical treatment of animals in society, education & art.
